The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) last week released the second edition of their popular Experts' Guide to the K-12 Market. Targeting an audience that includes senior executives, project managers, sales professionals, public relations practitioners, and policy makers, among others, the guide is intended as a resource to help businesses compete in the education industry.
Recent changes in the education market prompted SIIA to update the resource, first published six years ago. The eight-chapter book is produced by the association's Education Division and contains 63 articles from a range of authors, including SIIA member companies and industry experts.
"We're proud to collect and present insightful contributions from the software and education industries' most respected leaders and we appreciate their willingness to share their experiences and guidance," noted SIIA Education Division vice president, Karen Billings, in a statement released June 5.
Additions include articles that address key topics such as NCLB, technology trends, software as a service (SaaS), effectiveness research, and Web 2.0 marketing and platforms. The guide is available in both digital and hardcopy versions.
