Electronic Learning Products (ELP) has announced a strategic partnership with KeyStep LLC, intended to help ELP grow nationally, as well as expand its current relationships with education publishers.
According to the announcement, KeyStep--led by industry veteran John Hickey--will help Electronic Learning Products increase its market share for the company's patented literacy technology, TUNEin to Reading. As a part of the alliance between the companies, Hickey has also joined ELP's Board of Advisors.
"Electronic Learning Products offers the fastest, most effective and cost-efficient literacy software in the education marketplace," said Ken Spiegel, chief operating officer of Electronic Learning Products, in a prepared statement. "We are thrilled that John Hickey has joined our Board of Advisors. Our strategic alliance with KeyStep will ensure we accomplish our mission to make reading easy and fun for every child in America."
According to Electronic Learning Products, TUNEin to Reading uses music to help struggling reader in grades 3-12 improve fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Research on the technology's effectiveness is currently funded by the Florida Department of Education.
