Pearson has announced an agreement with Integrated Analytics that will give the education publisher exclusive rights to distribute StatCrunch.com.
According to the announcement, the Web-based software tool is aimed at helping simplify the process of "complex statistical analysis" by providing students a way to enter, analyze, and store data online. Using StatCrunch.com, data can be entered by hand or imported from a variety of sources and then used to generate graphs and reports. The platform also includes an online community where users can post and receive comments on their work.
"StatCrunch is an innovative online solution that helps students navigate the complex world of statistics, and makes teachers' jobs a little easier," said Linda Davis, president of science and math at Pearson, in a prepared statement. "This partnership represents a continuation of Pearson's efforts to use the best technology to make significant advances in education around the globe."
According to StatCrunch.com, individual subscriptions start at $5 for six months or $8 for 12 moths. Academic site licenses are also available for $400 per year and cover unlimited use by students, faculty, and staff.
