Oracle Enhances Partner Resources with Accelerate Academy

1/5/2009

Oracle has recently introduced a new training program aimed at helping partners market, sell, and implement Oracle Accelerate solutions.

Dubbed Oracle Accelerate Academy, the new program is an extension of the Oracle PartnerNetwork Boot Camp curriculum, with training components designed specifically for the Accelerate platform. Features include a "Jump Start" program, giving new JD Edwards VAR partners training and support, as well as co-funded demand generation support from Oracle, HP, and IBM; "Guided Learning Paths" aimed at increasing partner proficiency in sales, marketing, and implementation; and hardware training from Oracle platform partners. Partners will also have joint marketing opportunities through the academy.

"This is a tremendous and focused effort to provide valued training and services for our partners in the midsize space," said Oracle Senior Vice President, Global Accelerate Program Office, Tony Kender, in a prepared statement. "We recognize that our partners have a unique advantage with Oracle Accelerate to sell and deliver Oracle solutions at volume levels while growing a profitable business. With better trained partners, midsize customers will benefit from complete, industry-specific solutions that are cost effective."

In conjunction with the launch of Accelerate Academy, the company has expanded its PartnerNetwork Knowledge Zones to include a new "enablement zone" titled Oracle Applications for Midsized Companies.
