Carnegie Learning Adds Two New Regional VPs, Looks To Continue Sales Growth

Carnegie Learning has recently announced new additions to its executive sales leadership team. According to the announcement, Bill Sullivan has signed on as regional vice president for the West, and Melinda Cook has been brought in to head up the company's new southern region.

Sullivan brings 20-plus years of experience to Carnegie, with past executive positions for companies including Apple, Palm, Riverside Publishing, and Teachscape. Prior to his corporate leadership roles, Sullivan spent 10 years as a science, technology, and math instructor.

Cook has 14 years of market experience in education technology and professional development, as well as several years as a classroom teacher. Cook has held leadership positions with CompassLearning,  Classroom Connect/Harcourt Connected Learning, and The Learning Company/Mindscape.

"Carnegie Learning is entering 2009 with the strongest sales team to date," said Dennis Ciccone, Chief Executive Officer of Carnegie Learning, Inc., in a prepared statement. "Our executive sales leadership has been selected for their deep understanding of the unique needs and cultures of the districts in their regions. We enter this year, as we have the last four, with a commitment to hands-on partnerships with our customers, with a goal of responding quickly and flexibly to address changing math requirements and the need for improved student performance in mathematics nationwide.

According to the announcement, Carnegie posted 2008 sales growth of 30 percent over the previous year.
