Regent Taps Former SunGard Chief for Board of Directors

Financial aid management SaaS provider Regent has recently appointed former SunGard Higher Education CEO, Brian Madocks, to its board of directors.

According to the announcement, Madocks brings a range of experience to the new role including corporate strategy development, operational planning, and executive hiring. He is also an active member of various education-focused committees, boards, and organizations including the Business Higher Education Forum, National Governors Association, and the Board of Trustees of Long Island University.

"Brian Madocks brings a proven track record with two decades of experience in the enterprise application and software business with an extensive tenure in the higher education market," said Michael Ratti, Regent's CEO, in a prepared statement. "Brian brings the industry savvy needed to continue Regent's journey towards creating a brand leader."

Prior to heading SunGard, Madocks served as senior vice president and general manager of SAP America.
