Bradford Networks recently announced significant gains in sales of its network access control (NAC) solutions, posting an 87-percent increase from 2007 to 2008.
According to the announcement, Bradford secured more than 120 new customers in a range of sectors including education, government, energy, and healthcare during fiscal year 2008. Sales included the company's NAC Director and Campus Manager solutions deployed on wired, wireless, and VPN networks. New product releases contributing to the 2008 sale figures include Guest/Contractor Services, User Visibility and Control, Device Profile and Control, and Behavior Monitoring and Control.
"Organizations continue to be careful about spending, but they must address network security even if they are not making bandwidth or network upgrades," said Mike Gadoury, Bradford Networks founder and CEO, in a prepared statement. "The new Conficker/Downadup worm, the worst virus in years, is just one example of the relentless threats IT departments must address".
New North American clients include United States Naval Academy, Auburn University, University of Tennessee, and Mount Holyoke College. Kuwait Finance House, University of the Arts London, University of Limerick, and Kings College London are among the company's new International customers.
