The Douglas Stewart Co. has recently been selected by Sony Creative Software to be the company's exclusive distributor to the education sector.

DSC supplies a range of technology products from more than 185 manufacturers through its network of more than 4,500 resellers across North America. Under the new agreement, the company will distribute Sony's Vegas audio and video production titles, Acid music production software, and Sound Forge audio editing line. The company will also offer royalty-free content as well as training tools from Sony.

"Through on-going programs like our Technology in Motion student film contest and Cyberbullying Awareness PSA campaign, Sony Creative Software has demonstrated its commitment to technology education that helps students develop the skills they will need to contribute to our connected society," said Bob Phelan, vice president of worldwide sales for Sony Creative Software, in a prepared statement. "Through this exclusive distributor partnership with The Douglas Stewart Company, we will be able to deepen our relationships with faculty, staff, and students in K-12 and higher education to provide even more young people with the technology tools and skills they will use throughout their lives."
