Districts Deploy PowerSchool Premier

Pearson has recently announced several new implementations of its PowerSchool Premiere student information system (SIS).

According to the announcement, the Web-based platform is aimed at streamlining the information-based decision making process, as well as creating a collaborative environment for a variety of stakeholder groups. Schools implementing the platform include:


"We are thrilled by the momentum of our most recent quarter and look forward to bringing PowerSchool Premier to more districts in 2009," said Paul Fletcher, President of the School Systems group of Pearson, in a prepared statement. "Every school district--within the US and internationally--faces a unique set of challenges and PowerSchool Premier enables them to use the data they collect to increase student achievement and identify trends and patterns that may affect student outcomes."

With the newest additions, PowerSchool Premier currently serves 6.5 million students in 49 states around the country, with deployments at additional schools around the globe.
