U Wisconsin Expands Collaboration with Office Live Workspace

Students at the University of Wisconsin at Parkside can now enjoy file collaboration capabilities via a free software-and-service product from Microsoft called Office Live Workspace. The university, which last year outsourced its student e-mail accounts to Microsoft Live@edu, now offers students, faculty, and staff the ability to store, share, edit, and collaborate on documents in common Microsoft file formats. Ed tech developer Blackboard this week launched a new video surveillance solution for its campus management system called Blackboard Video Surveillance. The new tool, announced at BbWorld Commerce conference in Phoenix, AZ March 10, will become part of the Blackboard Commerce Suite, a payment and security management system designed for higher ed. Blackboard Opens Data Center for Delivery of Managed Services

Education software company Blackboard has opened its fifth international data center. The latest one is located in Sydney, Australia, to host software services for higher education clients based in Asia Pacific time zones. The company said it currently has 520 clients that use hosted services, in sizes ranging from a few hundred end users to a million. Read More

Moodlerooms Supports LSU's Move to Moodle
