The University of Houston announced that it would be installing AT&T U-verse services into student housing on a college campus. The IP-based TV and broadband Internet services will be included in all 700 one- and two-bedroom apartments of a 547,000-square-foot residence hall under construction for graduate and professional students. Bucks County Community College in Newtown, PA has upgraded its data network and installed Extreme Networks switches to support video collaboration applications. Additionally, all servers were upgraded to Gigabit speeds. Extreme BlackDiamond 8800 switches support the core of the network, and Summit X450 switches outfit the edge.
